The ACD/SpecManager Analytical Data Management System

ACD/Labs offers integrated processing and data management software for spectroscopic, chromatographic, and other forms of analytical data analysis that readily captures, organizes, retrieves, and shares spectra, chromatograms, analytical curves, and chemical structures in a seamless and comprehensive manner.

Managing Different Kinds of Experimental Data

The cross-technique functionality offered by the ACD/SpecManager family of products is particularly important for dealing with multiple types of data, including hyphenated data sets, all in one analytical data system. Click the appropriate links below to read more about module-specific capabilities:

   ... 1H, 13C, 15N, 19F, 31P
... COSY, HETCOR, TOCSY, HMQC/HMBC/HSQC
... MS, LC(GC)/MS, MS/MS, LC/DAD
... NIR, Fluorescence, Phosphorescence
... HPLC, GC, CE, GC/IR, LC/DAD
... XRPD, TGA, DSC, EPR, IMS, Physisorption, Potentiometry,
    Kinetics

ACD/SpecManager software encompasses a number of technique-specific modules for analytical data processing, a report editor, and a databasing component for storage and retrieval of disparate forms of analytical information. The shared databasing module lets users uniformly create, browse, mine, communicate, and report different types of database content using a variety of criteria. Analytical data can be retrieved through simple or sophisticated structural, spectral, or textual queries. Click here for a more detailed description of the general features and benefits offered by ACD/SpecManager.

Content Databases for Various Analytical Techniques:

In addition to enabling custom database creation, many leading commercial databases are available in the ACD/SpecManager format:

Analytical Data Management System

The ACD/SpecManager Analytical Data Management System (ADMS) is more than a series of individual processors connected to a database. It delivers numerous benefits associated with the complementarities chemically and spectrally aware objects, predictive model add-ons, expert system integration, automation tools, specialized inter-technique data linking capabilities, and numerous features for convenient assess and dissemination of chemical analytical results. To learn more about the benefits that the ADMS system delivers to our customers, please review the Analytical Data Management and ChemAnalytics® solutions pages.

ACD/SpecManager and ACD/SpecManager Enterprise

An organization looking to enable collaborative science throughout the company and across geographic locations needs flexible and secure data access in an integrated information system that connects different forms of data, communicates results effectively, and leverages legacy experimental results. ACD/SpecManager Enterprise uses the Oracle database platform to amplify all the functionality and benefits offered by the ACD/SpecManager desktop products.

The enterprise databases are also supported by several value-added products. For example, ACD/SpecManager and ACD/SpecManager Enterprise databases can be explored and viewed through the ACD/Web Librarian client browser interface. You can automate analytical processing and databasing across the enterprise with ACD/Automation Server. With ACD/Workflow Manager, custom workflows can be created, designed, and managed at an enterprise level in a way that brings sample management systems together with analytical data management.

Note that ACD/SpecManager can also integrate with third-party applications like the MDL ISIS/Base interface (see ACD/Labs Add-ins for ISIS) or the Waters® NuGenesis SDMS* to let you process and manage spectroscopic and chromatographic experimental data.
