Advanced Chemistry Development and Agilent Technologies
Announce Co-Marketing Agreement
PALO ALTO, Calif., March 05, 2001 - Advanced Chemistry Development announced today that it has signed a
co-marketing agreement with
Agilent Technologies Inc., a leading provider of innovative technologies
for communications and life sciences. The agreement provides for the
sharing of demonstration software,
marketing materials, and sales leads for mass spectrometry (MS) products
from Agilent,
and state-of-the-art ACD/SpecManager software from Advanced Chemistry
Development.
Complementary Product Offerings
Agilent's high-performance quadrupole and ion trap mass spectrometer systems
provide customers with
high-quality MS data. ACD's powerful software tools help scientists extract
the maximum chemical information content from
MS data. The ACD/SpecManager MS Processor module offers advanced data
processing algorithms such as
CODA for extracting relevant spectral information from noisy datasets.
All ACD/SpecManager software are provide for correlation of spectral data to
chemical structures and support cross-technique as well as
cross-vendor-platform
multispectral data integration including NMR, MS, UV-Vis and IR.
"Certainly Agilent is one of the acknowledged leaders in chromatography and
mass spectrometry instrumentation," said
Antony Williams, VP of Scientific Development and Marketing for Advanced
Chemistry Development. "We are
excited to associate our innovative software solutions for data processing
and chemical structural integration with the
world-class instrumentation and software of Agilent."
Effective Demonstrations
Agilent will equip its MS applications specialists and demonstration
facilities with ACD/SpecManager software. Advanced
Chemistry Development will have Agilent MS data system software available.
This will enable applications scientists from
both companies to more effectively demonstrate and support the combined
capabilities of Agilent and ACD software
products.
"Our customers are asking for tools that enable them to extract more
chemical information from their MS data," said Bryan
Miller, Product Marketing Manager of Agilent's LC/MS Software Products.
"This agreement will allow both companies to
demonstrate the powerful, combined capabilities of Agilent's MS products and
ACD's software tools to our mutual
customers. We also look forward to working with Advanced Chemistry
Development to investigate opportunities for closer
integration between the two firms' products, in order to increase their
combined problem-solving capabilities and
ease-of-use."
