LAUSANNE, Switzerland, March 2000 - ACD/Labs wins award at LogP2000.
Every few years a group of scientists whose primary interests include an interest in the determination and calculation of the octanol-water partition coefficient, logP, gather together to discuss the state of the art in this area of chemistry. As one of the software developers at the cutting edge of physicochemical prediction software including logP, pKa and logD it was only natural for us to participate and share our knowledge and understanding, and latest developments, with the experts in the field. We are therefore extremely proud to have had one of our three scientific poster presentation entitled "Correlation of Inhibition Constants for HIV-1 Protease and Viral Replication" voted as the best poster of the conference. Two other posters, entitled "Limitations of Fragmental Methods and ACD/LogP Training Feature" and "ACD/Labs Approaches for Phys-Chem Data Prediction" were also on display. These posters allowed us to demonstrate our capabilities and understanding in the field of logP prediction and staying at the cutting edge of software development in this area of science.
